John Burke
As I Was With Moses, I Will Be With Thee!
Joshua 1:1-9 | Pastor John Burke
After Moses dies, God speaks to Joshua and commissions him to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land. God assures Joshua that every place he sets foot will be given to him, just as He promised Moses. Joshua is told that no one will be able to stand against him, and God promises to be with him just as He was with Moses. Pastor John Burke brought us an encouraging message on three ways God, through His help, encourages us to do what He has called us to do.
1. A faith that is strong and courageous – Joshua 1:6
2. A faith that is centered around God’s Word – Joshua 1:7-8
3. A faith that has assurance God is with you – Joshua 1:9

The Mystery of the Why
A Selection of Scriptures | Pastor Ralph Sexton
Continuing from a sermon series on “The Mystery of God,” we reflected on the often-unasnwered question of “Why?”– why suffering happens, why tragedies strike, and why God allows certain things. Anchored in Deuteronomy 29:29, we’re reminded that while some things belong to the mystery of God, He’s revealed enough for us to trust Him through life’s trials. We are the clay in the hands of a sovereign Potter, and though we may be marred or broken, He reshapes us with purpose and power. Through the Japanese art of Kintsugi, Pastor Ralph illustrated how God can mend our broken pieces and fill our cracks with gold—making us more valuable than before the breaking—not by removing the pain, but by filling it with His Spirit. Let us trust in God’s sovereignty and rest in the truth that He’s still working on us!
