Every person will spend eternity in one of two destinations. Being truly saved is the single most vital thing about eternity. For believers, salvation is not just about securing eternity, but also about living with the awareness that our actions have lasting significance. The permanence of salvation is a cause for celebration, yet it also carries a responsibility—we are called to live in a way that reflects our faith and impacts eternity.
Eternal salvation demands stewardship; as believers, we will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ—not for condemnation, but for evaluation and reward. This judgment, known as the Bema Seat, is where Christ will assess the value of our works, distinguishing between what holds eternal significance and what does not. Paul emphasizes that believers should dedicate their lives to glorifying God, making the most of their time, resources, and actions to honor Him. Stewardship begins with recognizing what we have been given and using it wisely for God’s glory.
1. Time – Ephesians 5:16
God has given us a limited amount of time on earth, and we are called to use it wisely.
2. Talents – I Peter 4:10
Each person has been gifted with unique skills and abilities.
3. Treasures – Proverbs 3:9
Everything we own ultimately belongs to God, and we are entrusted to manage our finances and resources wisely.
4. Testimonies – II Corinthians 5:10-11
Our lives and experiences are powerful tools for the Kingdom.
5. Truth – II Timothy 2:15
God’s Word is the ultimate truth, entrusted to us to study, live, and proclaim, for which we will one day give an account before Christ.
