I want to take you in the new testament this morning on top of mount Hermon in Northern Israel. The snows are starting to stick at the very top of the mountain and from the top we can see down into Syria. Where we are going tonight is one of the most important moments in all of the new testament. Second only to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, there has never been more divine glory and power witnessed on earth, and the beautiful thing is that the Lord Jesus allowed there to be three eyewitnesses to all that happened.

A final thought on confident Christian living. Im absolutely convinced that God has us here for a reason. The world we live in and the culture we are exposed to every day requires you to be a solid, well trained, well learned, confident Christian that is empowered in the Holy Ghost with some Biblical authority to live in this present world, and be not of this present world.

Ziklag is a city we find in 1 Samuel 30 within a powerful story about David before he had been appointed as King. Ziklag, a town on the southernmost boundary of Judea, is first mentioned in the Bible as part of the inheritance of the tribe of Judah but was not conquered by the Israelites before the time of David. Ziklag was still under Philistine control when Saul reigned as king.
