What a comfort! No matter our problem or circumstance, we have a God that cares for us.
We have a God that hears us when we pray. Our God loves us and is merciful and gracious.
Psalm 102 is a Psalm given to David as a prayer for the overwhelmed and afflicted. Verses 1,2: Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come unto Thee. Hide not Thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline Thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
I love that part of the verse where David prays so honestly, “Lord, when I pray, answer me fast!”
The Word of God contains the promise that He will help us when we pray.
Psalm103:13 speaks of the Lord as a loving parent: Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him.
We have talked of five of these promises in our study of the Word of God:
- THE PROMISE OF HELP
- THE PLEDGE OF RESTORATION
- THE POWER OF GRACE
- THE PURPOSE OF LOVE
- THE PRINCIPLE OF MERCY
Our God loves us, He cares for us, and He answers when we pray!
Read again II Corinthians, 12:7-10, and remember the line, My grace is sufficient for thee… God is so good to us!
You are loved,
