I am so glad you are in the house of the Lord today.  Psalm 122:1, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.”

Our Bible studies this week with Pastor Nathan and Pastor Rory were from the book of Philippians.  Pastor Nathan read 2: 17-21.  Verse 21 instructs us, “For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s”.  It is our nature to seek after our own desires, but until we ask the Lord to renew our spirit we cannot seek those things which are Christ.

Pastor Rory’s scripture reading was from Philippians 1:20-23, with the focus on verse 21, “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.”  Pastor Rory’s message tied in with Pastor Nathan’s, speaking of the time when we leave to join our Lord and asking the question, will we have lived for Christ and not for ourselves?

The scripture at Wednesday’s service by Pastor Zach was found in 2 Kings 6:13-18.  If you are facing a battle you can have victory over that battle.  Verse 16, “Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them”.  Verse 18, “and when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord….”   The battle was won!

Thank you for your prayers for Pastor Ralph and the team who have been on the Singing at Sea Cruise.
